National Petrographic Service, Inc. (NPS) has been preparing a variety of materials for microscopic study over the last 20 years. We have prepared concrete sections for a variety of clients and engineering companies around the US. Our reputation in vacuum impregnated epoxies (fluorescent, blue, clear) has long been sought out in all the industries we serve. NPS has performed other research and experimentation for many of the major oil companies, universities, and research institutes. We are happy to work with you to accomplish improvements and concrete experiments that your department/company may choose not to handle internally. Our role as a research laboratory for groups is not new to NPS. We have been working for the Texas Department of Transportation in replicating a study that uses concrete in a yellow toned fluorescent dyed thin section to obtain an estimated water cement ratio.

We can provide yellow toned thin sections with fluorescent dye to the specific quality requirements needed for a water cement ratio estimate and delivery of a quick turnaround because of the unstable nature of fluorescents.
